The Smart Pigs come in two sizes, measuring up to 14 feet long, 30" in diameter, and weighing nearly 2,000 pounds.  They contain a series of electronics and magnets, which inspect underground gas pipelines for internal and external wear and damage and then relay GPS information to PG&E technicians.
